Elbu Deconstructed Jacquard Weave Armchair – Charcoal

Our beautifully crafted Elbu chair is a timeless classic with a twist; the deconstructed back and sides reveal a natural mango wood frame and hemp panels for a pared-back aesthetic. Its elegant sizing makes it a subtle and elegant choice for a living space or bedroom. This new charcoal cotton and linen jacquard weave fabric is hand-upholstered for a timeless and striking addition to the Elbu collection.

The chair is hand-upholstered with a solid wood frame and hand-carved wooden legs. The side panels are made from hemp, a fabric we find ideal for creating durable and tactile products for the home. It is a natural fibre that can be spun into durable strong threads. Hemp does not require pesticides and its density of growth leaves little room for weeds. The frame is crafted from mango wood which is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income.

Clean spill immediately by blotting with clean sponge or cloth. Vacuum regularly. Can be professionally cleaned. Colours may fade in direct sunlight.
