Fia Mango Wood Desk – Natural

Good, honest design and beautiful natural materials combine in our Fia collection and this Fia desk is no exception, displaying the same clean aesthetic and trademark angular iron frame and woodwork that we love so much. Crafted from mango wood, the natural characteristics of the grain shine through, and the patina of the iron has subtle colour variations that contrast and complement one another. The slimline dimensions make this the perfect desk for a living room or where space is at a premium and the two drawers open from below, keeping the smooth silhouette intact.

The frame is made from sheet iron which is then welded into the required shape. The mango wood top is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income.
