Fioni Reclaimed Wood Bench – Natural

Our new Fioni collection is admired not only for its warmth and effortless simplicity, but for the fact that it welcomes in a new material to the nkuku range. The Fioni design uses reclaimed wooden ceiling beams from India where they are repurposed and handcrafted to create unique and timeless pieces that offer the perfect foundation for an understated dining area. Sanded and lightly finished with a white wash, the mixed woods are harmonised in appearance yet still allow for subtle variations in tone and grain to shine through, lending a laidback farmhouse aesthetic to the overall look of this well proportioned bench.

In the spirit of finding new uses for existing materials, each piece of wood in this collection has been reclaimed and repurposed from Indian ceiling beams, then sanded down, cut to size and finished with a white wash to unify the overall look while still allowing natural variations between wood types to tell their origin story. The design is purposefully simple and unadorned, bringing to mind farmhouse styles of old.

No two pieces will be the same. The weathered tone and imperfections are part of the beauty of this product. Rough textures, knots, splits in the grain add to its rustic charm.

Wipe surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and moisture. Mild soap and water can be used for cleaning but take care not to use excess water as this may damage the finish.
Always wipe with the grain taking extra precaution over the heavy textured surfaces which may on occasion splinter.

Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as these may damage the wood.

Avoid placing wet items directly on to the surface. Use coasters and mats for protection. Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage from liquids or staining. Soak up spills with a dry paper cloth. Oil must wiped off immediately. Wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
