Gavivi Mango Wood Bowl – Natural

The decorative hand-carved etching that adorns the edge of the Gavivi serving bowl adds a simple yet striking design detail. The etching process naturally creates a two-tone effect by highlighting the natural variety found within the wood’s grain, creating a tactile and textured piece that is at once effortlessly eye-catching and utterly functional. The Gavivi displays beautifully on a countertop or clustered together for serving pre-dinner nibbles, and beautifully complements the rest of the Gavivi range.

Mango wood has a light natural tone with natural variation within the grain. We love working with this material which is a by-product of the mango-growing industry in India and repurposing it to give it a new lease of life. Once the trees are no longer fruitful, they are taken down and we use them to create many of our stylish, eclectic and sustainable furnishings for use throughout the home. These bowls have been hand-etched using traditional methods.

To care for your mango wood wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth. Please note adding oil may darken the tone of the wood. Due to the natural beauty of these items there may be changes to the colour over time.
