Ikowe Recycled PET Rug – Tonal Red

The Ikowe recycled rug brings together considered design and everyday practicality. An intricate Persian-inspired motif adds a sense of heritage and character, with tonal reds, terracotta hues and sun-faded coral shades to create warmth and depth across the surface. Discarded plastic bottles form the foundation of the Ikowe rug. Makers transform the recycled material into fine PET fibres before weaving them into a durable, hardwearing base. They then hand-screen print the intricate pattern onto the surface, bringing depth and detail to the design. The result combines the appearance and softness of a traditional textile with the practical benefits of recycled materials.

To care for these rugs, clean spills immediately by blotting with clean sponge or cloth. Take care when vacuuming. We do not recommend the use of vacuums with rotating brush as these may damage the rug fibres. Can be professionally cleaned. Colours may fade in direct sunlight.
