Jabari Mango Wood Board – Natural

Inspired by traditional, rustic serving boards, the Jabari boards are delightfully organic in form, with a smooth finish and tactile handle with a hole for hanging that makes them as decorative as they are functional. Serve up breads and cheeses, dips and crudites, use as individual grazing boards, or even with sweet treats. These are a useful addition to the kitchen, bringing a touch of laid back style to entertaining. Available in two sizes.

The wood is assembled in panels where the grains are alternated to create a lovely natural patterning. The mango wood we use is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income.

To care for your mango wood wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth. Please note adding oil may darken the tone of the wood. Due to the natural beauty of these items there may be changes to the colour over time.
