At nkuku, we choose to work with natural and sustainable materials, and jute is one of our favourites. Fast-growing and biodegradable, jute takes just 4-6 months to go from planting to harvest. Its strength and durability make it perfect for structural pieces, and its colourfast properties ensure longevity. For this shade, handwoven jute threads are intricately wrapped around a metal frame, creating a stunning piece that beautifully showcases sustainability and the beauty of the natural world.
